As your community law firm, Weiss Legal Group, P.A. values service to the community at a grass-roots level.  Dedication to community service is an attribute that should be cultivated in our children and incentives should be created to allow our children to explore and develop their ideas to better their community.

The Weiss Legal Group Community Project is an annual contest which is open to submission by each public and private school class, grades Kindergarten through fifth (5th) grade, located in the counties of Orange, Seminole, and Osceola, Florida.

Each class is limited to the submission of one application comprised of a proposed plan to better the students’ community.  It is hoped that in-class projects can be assigned to allow children of these communities to express their ideas for the community.  The class or the class’s teacher can then select the proposal to be submitted to Weiss Legal Group, P.A. on behalf of the class.

The members of Weiss Legal Group, P.A. will then select one project from all submissions received and will pay $1,000.00 to the class’s teacher for use to fund the community project.

When selecting the winning submission, Weiss Legal Group, P.A. will take into consideration the creativity of the proposed project as well as other factors including but not limited to completeness and details of the plan, economic and actual feasibility of the plan, renewability, sustainability, and positive impact to the community.

All applications may be submitted starting on August 1, of the current year with a deadline for applications on December 15, of the current calendar year.  The winner will be announced each January with hopes that the proposed project can be completed or begun in the Spring while the children who proposed the plan are still in class with the teacher who submitted the plan on their behalf.
